One-day trips from Biograd, Croatia
Thanks to its position in the most indented part of the Croatian Adriatic coast, the area provides excellent opportunities for nautical tourism. In the close vicinity, there are three national parks: the Kornati, the Paklenica National Park, and the Krka National Park, as well as Telascica Nature Park. The picturesque Pasman Channel with a series of small islands protects Biograd and its riviera from strong winds from the sea, which is an advantage for swimmers and boaters. From Biograd Croatia, there are excursions to the Kornati National Park, as well as excursions to the nearby Telascica Nature Park. Seven kilometers from Biograd, there is Vrana Lake, the largest lake in Croatia, rich in freshwater fish. Swimming in an exceptionally clear sea is possible only some 100 meters from the downtown, where pebble beaches and numerous facilities spread, in the shade of a centennial pine forest. For those who prefer solitude, we recommend the green islands in Pasman Channel. Pasman is known as the island with the biggest green surface in this part of Europe, considering its total area. The rapid sea stream, which changes its course every 6 hrs, makes the sea among the clearest in the Adriatic. The island has just 2000 residents. In every village of the island, you can discover a lovely beach which is predominantly sandy and shallow. In the surrounding area of the beaches, there are cafeterias and beach clubs. On the northern part of the Pasman island, there are mostly sandy beaches. Between the two villages, Tkon, and Ugrinic, there are seven attractive sandy coves. Since the island of Pasman is not one of the typical tourist getaways, there are no big hotels or resorts on the island. The majority of the accommodation on the island is found in private homes where you can book either an apartment or a single room.Best beaches in Biograd
